Mining at full capacity
September 16, 2026
Gonka Top published a new video, “Mining at full capacity.”
Mitch looks at what the next competitive phase of Gonka mining could look like: from true inference ASICs with model weights baked into silicon to the more practical near-term route of non-Nvidia hardware, Chinese accelerators, and rewriting parts of the Gonka node for each hardware stack.
The key point: the edge will not simply belong to whoever buys more GPUs. It will belong to teams that can quickly test new hardware, measure efficiency per dollar invested, hire strong engineers, and keep private optimizations moving ahead of the next hardware and protocol cycle.
The video also covers the risks behind that strategy: renting or exporting hardware from China, infrastructure and network losses, legal and tax structuring, the need for a trusted local partner, and the research budget required before mining can be scaled industrially.
